but i didn’t get run over
doing some thinking before i have to go to get my teeth finished up. in the last four weeks, this will be appointment number five. i haven’t been taking the pain killers my dentist prescribed. i hope he’s not mad. i’m not in pain anymore, but i don’t necessarily think that was the point.
digital photography has really gone through the roof. suddenly everyone with an iPhone 4S can take amazing photos. not to mention that actual DSLRs are extremely common now. so now there is this weirdness that is extremely high quality photography of completely ordinary things. and it’s fun. mike skinner’s blog is a good example. if you can take a picture of what you see on the tube in professional quality instead of on a 2006-style camera phone, why not? on the flip side, if i’m going to see what someone is making for lunch, i’d rather see it shot with a good camera. unfortunately i don’t fall into this group that has immediate access to good photography gear. i have a point-and-shoot which was pretty good a few years ago, and an iPhone 3GS which has honestly a pretty shit camera. i can’t really justify at all buying anything new. my phone is a piece of shit though, so in a year or so when i shamefully fork out $700 for the next new iPhone, then i’ll have a good camera.
people really like photos. especially when it comes to bands. for some reason. the golf wang blog is like that as well. people love to see candid orĀ non-musical photos of musical artists. i will attempt to do this. the result will probably end up being pretty poor, since like i said, i don’t really have good gear. plus i hate carrying around my actual camera with me. oh, and the fact that my life is very, very, very boring. well, aside from things that i purposely do not write about online.
