why do high school girls think that underage drinking, recreational drugs, clubbing with fake IDs, and wonky dubstep make them anything but stupid stupid stupid stupid????
i really wish there was an exponentially better music scene in london ontario. there needs to be a group of individuals that are willing to dedicate their entire lives to helping each other out. starting with five bands maybe that all have a mutual respect for each other and want to dedicate all of their time to furthering each other’s progress and getting shit off of the ground. so often it is all talk all talk all talk and no action.
maybe starting with some house shows. a series of these semi-underground events that provide an alternative experience to going out and getting drunk at douchey clubs and bars. it doesn’t even have to be based on having a great time. maybe it would be the thing you were looking forward to because your week fucking sucked or your life just fucking sucks in general but you’re like, “oh at least i can go see those two moody bands in that basement for $2 on saturday night.”
but it seems so hard to find people who would want to be involved with this because everyone i know has a life, or a wife, or kids, or a job, or jobs, or something. i feel like i am the only one who wants to spend 5 or 6 days a week playing shows and getting shit done all the time all the time all the time.
i’m heartbroken. man sometimes i feels like texas again.
i want to do a canadian vancouver-to-halifax tour before 2015.
